Project Overview – Structures Portfolio

The Eastern Region consist of the Anglia and East midlands routes. The portfolio consists of 47 No structures which are mainly either underbridges or overbridges. The projects range from full structure replacements to refurbishment and maintenance schemes. The projects are mainly funded by Network Rail, however some are multi-funded by local councils or developers. The works are undertaken within a multitude of access agreements, ranging from Christmas/Easter blockades through to nighttime possessions and even normal daytime working, depending on the scope of works. The purpose of the projects is to replace/upgrade any ‘life expired’ structures and ensure that Network Rails infrastructure runs as efficiently as possible. The total budget for Network Rails current Control Period (CP7) is £216m

Our Services

• Inception- Review the Portfolio to ensure efficient delivery/packaging of the projects. Assist with the application for funding to enable the projects to commence.
• Procurement- Tender and procure all services, contractors and 3rd parties required to deliver the projects.
• Delivery– Undertake all aspects of Commercial Management for the projects, from design, delivery and Contract close out.
• Reporting- Fulfil the clients reporting requirements and manage the change control process.

We are also instrumental with managing the client’s aspirations for delivering the projects both on time and within budget. Drumacross will challenge the programme to ensure that all funding awards and procurement are undertaken on time and also challenge the budget to ensure that the most efficient method of delivery is achieved. In the event that claims are raised on a project, Drumacross will assess and advise the client accordingly. Drumacross also ensure that all commercial close out is undertaken within the time scales required by the client.
